In today's Gospel Reading Jesus is asked if he condemns the adulterous woman. John 8:1-11
Jesus is running his finger on the ground writing something. Some scholars think that Jesus was writing the sins of the scribes and Pharisees on the ground.
Can you imagine seeing your sins written on the ground with the Hand of God!
Picture what they were thinking when they saw their sins lightly written in the dirt. They started to leave one by one. How could they condemn a woman for her sins, when they had sins of their own.
We don't know what Jesus wrote on the ground, but this theory is a good one to meditate on.
God knows all of our sins and wants us to ask for forgiveness. Reconciliation is a great Grace.
