I was listening to someone speak about our Blessed Mother Mary and some of the things that he said were so profound to me.
He asked if anyone ever wonders why Mary is depicted standing on the moon or having the moon associated with her, as in Revelations.
It struck me, his answer was so obvious and so inspiring.
The moon is not the source of light, the sun is.
Mary is not the Light, her Son is.
The moon reflects the light of the sun.
Mary is a reflection of the Light - Jesus is that Light.
We are called to imitate that light!
