I have been having some "drop to my knees moments" lately. Some of you may know what that means and others may not, so I will clarify.
What I mean by a "drop to your knees moment" is when something happens that you really needed or had been praying for and it comes just in the nick of time.
You know instantly that it is a great gift and you are so thankful that you just want to drop to your knees and thank God. (Some people can't literally drop to their knees, it's okay, you got the feeling!)
An "ah haaa" moment or an epiphany are other times when I have that awesomeness feeling.
I had a drop to my knees moment today - and for that I want to thank you God!
We do have an awesome God!
Time and Prayer Heals
As time goes on things start to heal. The economy is still in limbo and jobs are not plentiful but people are starting to heal and accept the things that are happening.
People are praying more and that helps in the healing process. There have been many
articles written about it. Click here to read one.
Healing of mind, spirit and body are acquired with the help of time and prayer.
I have a friend that has been going through similar trials that I have been going through and both of us have been trying to fill our lives with things to change the outlook of the present and future.
I have found that filling your life with more and more projects to help you avoid facing what is not going right in your life is not a good idea. That just clutters you with "things" and doesn't give you the time to pray.
We had Vacation Bible School last week at our church for 5 nights and being there helping was exactly what I needed to get back on track. Being with the children and seeing their child like faith reminds me of how easy it is find God again.
God is always there for us, even when we fill our life with things that pull us in other directions and he is waiting patiently for our return. Time and prayer heals.

Feeling the Pressure
I, like so many others in the "Great Recession", am feeling the pressure. I am getting worn thin. I wouldn't make a very good sandwich at this point, I wouldn't fill you up!
That is why I haven't had much to say on my blog. I am in a dark phase right now and struggling to get back to the light.
Our manufacturing business has been feeling the effects of the economy for over 2 years. I know so many people that are in the same situation or worse off. All any of us can do is keep searching for work and pray that we can hang on to what we have worked our whole live's for. For many, it won't be possible to hang on to it. Many have lost it already.
As the recession drags on, there are some good things to take from it. Families are getting back to ways of the past. They are not buying so much for their children and themselves, and they don't need it! That is something good to take from this.
Families are praying more. Even if it comes at the lowest times for them, atleast they are praying and coming back to God.
I am feeling so weak and not in control right now and it is not a feeling I like. It is very hard to let go of the situation and place it in God's hands. I have been very bitter and carrying a great deal of anger and frustration with me the past few months and it keeps a wall between me and God.
It is hard to write this today because it is making me look face to face with the negativity that is surrounding my life.
Dear God,
Bless everyone that is struggling with anything. We all have our crosses, help us to bear them as Jesus bore His. Give us the strength to let go of our frustrations and anger and to step aside and watch You be in control.
Amen.

Without a Down, There Would be No Up
A friend of mine recently posted this on Facebook:
"There is always a lull before a storm, you always have to hit bottom to rise to the top, and there is always a positive that follows a negative.....without a down there would be no up. Look for the bright side, weather the storm and when things seem to be at the worst you are just on your way to the top!"
That is taking insight into life and using it to grasp onto the blessings that we have in our lives. This statement forces us to see that no matter what path God has us on - we are on the right path.
Things may be going great for us today or they may be absolutely devastating us right now, either way, things will change.
God is there watching over us and He knows where we belong. Sometimes we don't like the change, sometimes we want things back the way they were or sometimes we want things better than they are.
Look at the Blessings around you! See God in all things and find the peace that surrounds the chaos.
